Welcome to the web site for the Shasta County Office of Education. We have
a commitment to serve the children, schools and community of Shasta County.
Our office employs approximately 600 employees who provide services to over
30,000 students. Shasta County has 25 public school districts, 20 private
schools, and approximately 26 charter schools. We are a community that is
virtually free from gang violence due to the strong partnerships that we
have developed through our local law enforcement agencies. We are excited
about the education our students are receiving in Shasta County. Although
our students score above the state average in standardized testing, we are
continually looking to improve the quality of education we are providing
all students. Please browse through our web site to find out more about
who we are, our services to children and school districts, and the resources
available to the community. We want this web site to contain relevant information
