The Eligibility Wait List (EWL) is the wait list for the Shasta County Office of Education (SCOE) Alternative Payment and Full/Part Day Preschool programs.

Alternative Payment Program (0-13 years)

The Alternative Payment Program administered by the Early Childhood Services division of Shasta County Office of Education is a parental choice program that serves children ages 0-13 years for parents while they work, job search or are in training. Eligibility is determined according to need, the size of your family and gross monthly income. Families may choose from a variety of child care settings: child care centers, after school programs, licensed family child care homes, a friend, family member or a neighbor (license exempt).

California State Preschool Program (2.9 and 5 year olds)

The California State Preschool Program is a full or part day (3-9 hour, Monday-Friday) program established to provide an enriched environment at an early age to benefit children’s cognitive, physical, emotional and social development. Programs offered to children age 2.9 to 5 years, who are not eligible for kindergarten. Child must be 3 yrs by December 2nd of current school year. Locations: Alta Mesa, Anderson Heights, Bella Vista, Bonny View, Buckeye, Columbia, Cypress, Grand Oaks, Juniper, Lassen View, Mistletoe, Mountain Union, North Cottonwood, Oak Run, Prairie, Shasta College, Shasta Meadows and Tree of Life Charter Preschool.
