Programs

The Shasta County Office of Education directs a variety of programs for the benefit of students, teachers, and administrators across the county and throughout Region 2 of California. We are honored to be able to lead and direct these opportunities and will continue to watch for other programs to lead as well.

After School Program

Project SHARE provides leadership and support to twenty-one after school programs within Shasta County.
Alternative Education

We offer a variety of programs, both for independent study as well as for our at-risk students in Shasta County.
AVID

A state-wide program for middle and high school students, operated out of Shasta County for all of Region 2.
Schreder Planetarium

The Schreder Planetarium is a place of wonder and dreams, where adults can ponder their place in the universe and a student's passion for science is born every day.
SCMP - Shasta County Math Partnership Grant

This professional development math grant is for teachers who teach grades 3-8, Algebra 1.
Shasta County Cooperative

For school districts under 900 students, Shasta County Office of Education provides leadership and guidance for categorical programs and collaboration opportunities.
SMART Science Grant
Whiskeytown Environmental School

Through a facility connected with Whiskeytown Lake, we offer day and standards-based field trips for K-4 grades, 5-6 grade environmental school overnight experiences, and summer camps.
