Shasta County Math Partnership (SCMP) Grant

The Shasta County Math Partnership is comprised of sixty-four 3rd-8th grade teachers from Bella Vista, Columbia, Enterprise, Pacheco, Redding school districts and Shasta County Office of Education. The teachers are working with a team of math consultants and math instructors from Shasta College to improve instruction in their classroom.

Participating teachers complete a 30-hour summer institute of mathematics content training each summer of the grant along with 30 additional hours of mathematics content training during the school year and 24 hours of follow-up activities working with students in their classrooms. A portion of the follow-up includes training and implementation of the Teaching Learning Collaborative (TLC) lesson study model.
