Outdoor Adventures

June 7-11 & June 28-July 2, 2010

Camp Starts at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm
Staff Available: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

This is our most popular camp so we are offering it twice this summer.  This camp includes hiking, *kayaking, beach day at Whiskeytown Lake, fishing, swimming, wading, arts/crafts, field games, *archery, and exploring.  Optional overnight on Thursdays.

*Students must be going into the 4th grade or higher to participate in Kayaking and Archery

Earth Skills - June 21-25, 2010

Camp Starts at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm
Staff Available: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

This is Outdoor Adventure Camp with an added twist; introduction to survival skills, wilderness awareness, and nature art.  Activities may include shelter building, fire by friction, rope making, basketry, necklace making and ceramics, as well as hiking, *archery, *kayaking, beach day at Whiskeytown Lake, fishing, swimming/wading. Optional overnight on Thursday.

*Students must be going into the 4th grade or higher to participate in Kayaking and Archery

Theater Arts - July 19-23 with a Performance on Saturday, July 24 

Camp Starts at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm
Staff Available: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

This camp encompasses basic theater skills, improvisation, mask making, set and costume design, storytelling, and monologues all in a beautiful outdoor setting along Clear Creek.  In addition to these theater art related activities, campers will also enjoy hiking, wading in a mountain stream, pond exploration and lawn games. 

We are thrilled that Ablan Roblin will again run our Theater Arts Camp 2010.  Ablan is an improv actor and workshop director for the Redding Improv Players, Executive Producer and talent for Comically Imbalanced (an improv, sketch comedy and stand-up group).  Among his many other accomplishments, he was the director of the University of Miami's Summer Theatre Workshop for children.
