Directions from I-5
From Interstate 5, head west on Highway 44 toward Weaverville/Eureka. Highway 44 leads directly into downtown Redding; follow the signs for 299 west. After completing a few turns the road will become Eureka Way, which is also Highway 299 west.
Whiskeytown is approximately nine miles from Redding. Continuing west on Highway 299 you will pass through the historic town of Old Shasta. Watch for the sign announcing Whiskeytown Lake. Soon after the sign, the road will curve which brings you to the Whiskeytown Visitor Center identified by a large blue sign. Turn left at the visitor center onto John F. Kennedy Memorial Road. Additional signs announce the Clair A. Hill Whiskeytown Dam and Brandy Creek.
It is approximately a four mile drive from the Visitor Center to the school. Follow the signs for N.E.E.D. Camp. John F. Kennedy Memorial Road and Paige Bar Road will split at a 'Y' in the road as JFK Memorial Road curves to the right and over the dam. You do not want to go over the dam. Continue down Paige Bar Road, cross over a bridge, and you will shortly arrive at the camp.
