Highly Qualified Tutors

Tutoring services are provided at the direction of a credentialed teacher who is certificated within the state of California. Small groups of 4 to 8 students have the additional support of a para-professional. Para-professionals must meet the rigorous No Child Left Behind requirements of either 48 college units, a degree, or successful completion of the para-professional examination.

In addition to the rigorous NCLB requirement, tutors will be trained in or demonstrate knowledge of the following curricula: Standards Plus, Houghton Mifflin Universal support materials, ACHIEVE 3000, SIPPS, 5 Minutes to Better Reading and Marzano's Classroom Instruction That Works.

SHARE SES is recruiting for qualified tutors at participating school site: Burney Elementary, Meadow Lane, Pacheco, Shasta Lake School, Rother and Oasis Community School.  Informational meetings will be held in October at the Shasta County Office of Education.
