Students will be considered for admission without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, economic status, religion, disability, lack of English skills, or achievement level. All academic and vocational courses offered at STA will be open to all enrolled.
If the number of applicants does not exceed the number of openings, students will be added into the Academy on a first-come, first-served basis.
STA will have a total student capacity of about 100 students, with the following projected phase-in of grade levels:

Students will be required to pass the California High School Exit Exam and complete 230 credits to be eligible for high school graduation in the following content areas (*indicates core subject area):

STA will be applying for WASC preliminary accreditation within the first month of operation in the 2007-08 school year. The WASC self review process will be underway in the 2007-08 school year, with the intention of seeking formal accreditation by the beginning of the 2008-09 school year. With WASC accreditation (even preliminary) students’ credits may be considered “transferable.”
