Classes

 

Vocational Curriculum

At Shasta Trades Academy students will be exposed to classes in as many of the 15 industry sectors as possible. Industry sectors include agriculture, arts, building trades and construction, education, engineering, and fashion…just to name a few.

• Shasta Builders’ Exchange

• STA students will be able to take standardized construction, maintenance, and pipeline curricula developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and Prentice Hall. These courses allow students to develop skills that are nationally portable and to receive industry-recognized credentials.

• Shasta Trinity Regional Occupational Program

• In addition to the trades courses offered at Shasta Builders’ Exchange, our students, when they reach age 16, will be able to take ROP classes. Shasta-Trinity ROP provides exemplary career education and workforce preparation that contributes to student academic and career success and to the economic development of California.

• Shasta College

• Juniors and seniors enrolled at Shasta Trades Academy will be able to take classes at Shasta College appropriate to their educational/vocational goals
