Performance and Improvement Data

The Shasta Trades Academy students participate in all state mandated testing. All state standardized testing results are submitted to the CDE for inclusion in the state’s Academic Performance Index (API).
A growth target will be obtained after the students’ results from the first year of operation are received. It is expected that the growth target will be set by fall of 2008 for the 2008-09 school year.

Because STA will be employing an alternative method of instruction that is not typically used in a general educational setting, STA performs ongoing assessment and collects student performance data to assure that academic performance standards are achieved at grade level. Students are tested upon enrollment (STAR Reading and Math assessments) as well as CELDT for English language learners.
