INSIGHT: Insight Behavior is Unexpected After Illegal Operation Error

SYMPTOMS

IFAS Insight behvaior is unexpected after you recover from an illegal operation error or used CTRL+ALT+Delete to terminate an Insight process.

CAUSE

Open TCP sockets remain in use if IFAS Insight is not shutdown properly.

RESOLUTION

Reboot your PC and restart the IFAS Insight application.

MORE INFORMATION

IFAS Insight uses TCP sockets to communicate with the IFAS host. If Insight is shutdown inproperly the socket resources are not released and can not be reused without rebooting the PC.
