Local Child Care Planning Council (LCCPC)

In 1991, State legislation requested that each county in California establish a local child care planning council. Pursuant to the Statutes of 1997, Assembly Bill 1542 which establishes California's welfare reform program or Cal WORKS (California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids), a Local Child Care Planning Council is now required in each of the 58 counties in California.

The Shasta Local Child Care Planning Council is actively involved in advocating for the early care and education needs within Shasta County.

The next meeting will be September 25, 2008
