The Shasta County Office of Education has been awarded a grant from the State of California to conduct after school programs at 22 school sites throughout the county. The funding, initiated from voter approved Proposition 49, will focus on K-8 students. Project SHARE (Shasta Health, Academic, and Recreation Enrichment) will provide a daily snack, academic instruction, recreation, and a variety of enrichment activities tailored to meet the needs of the attending population.
The after school programs began operation in February 2007. Registration packets are available at your school office. Please check our list of participating schools to determine if your child's school is a participating site.
For further information, please contact the Project SHARE Office, at 245-7830.
