Transportation Operations Department

The Shasta County Office of Education Transportation Department provides school bus service to a variety of programs within the county. School bus transportation is provided to students with special needs, juvenile court students, and state pre-school students. The Redding School District also contracts with the County Office for their Transportation Services, providing transportation for regular education elementary and junior high students.

School bus transportation is provided to students with special needs, Court and Community school students, and pre-school students. Students are transported to 48 school sites within the county.

The County Office bus fleet includes 29 buses, 13 of which accommodate wheelchair-bound students. The COE also operates a fleet of 12 Redding School District buses, one smaller bus to serve seven local Redding schools and two partnership schools at Shasta and French Gulch.

With over 850,000 miles driven annually, the County Office school bus drivers maintain an excellent safety record.
