Shasta County Schools
Shasta County, a region full of natural resources, none as important as our children. In the north state we take our education seriously; constantly striving to develop lifelong learners by ensuring access to quality education; teaching every child every day so that they can succeed in tomorrow’s world.

Our County's commitment is embodied by the Shasta Promise: Every student in Shasta County will graduate prepared for education beyond high school. Those students who complete minimum college preparatory or community college transfer requirements will receive guaranteed admission from all of the participating institutions of higher education.

- Schreder Planetarium
  Participants are transported through the solar system to far away galaxies. Engaging programs blend science, technology, engineering, mathematics and imagination.

  Partnering with local superintendents, we developed unified goals centered on collaboration and support for all 25 school districts in Shasta County.
Instructional Services
- Professional Learning and Leadership Support Services
  Our purpose is to provide high quality professional development and other resources to help our districts develop effective instructional systems that help our students thrive scholastically. We also provide Preliminary and Clear Administrative Services credentials, leadership development and technical services to local schools and School Leadership Teams.
- Early Childhood Services
  We provide quality early care and education programs, resources and supports for children & families, and their teachers or care providers.
  
  Student Support Services
  Supporting alternative education; special education; foster and homeless youth; after school; supplemental tutoring; and School Attendance Review Boards.
Administrative Services
- Business Services
  Provide fiscal & operational services to our district partners, internally for SCOE programs, as well as processing payroll for the county schools
- Human Resources
  Provides support within the realm of recruitment, retention, relations, and benefits.
- Information Technology
  Acts as the K12 High Speed Network node site for the county
- Transportation
  Transports our county's precious cargo to and from school each day

Developer Fees for residential and commercial construction are collected by the Shasta County Office of Education (SCOE) on behalf of the school districts of Shasta County. The fees collected are used by the districts for construction and reconstruction of school facilities and may be used to pay bonds, notes, loans, leases or other installment agreements for temporary and permanent facilities.

The fee may be adjusted every two years according to the inflation rate listed by the state-wide index for Class B construction set by the State Allocation Board.

The city or county building department will present SCOE a School Clearance Form which serves as notification of the square footage on the permit request. Fees are calculated by multiplying the square footage by the district's current rate per square foot. Upon receipt of payment, the developer will receive a School Impact Fees Transmittal Form to present at the building department for their building permit.

The Shasta County Office of Education Developer Fee Office is located at 1644 Magnolia Avenue (Room 113) Redding, CA 96001.

Developer fees may be paid in the form of cash, check, money order or cashier's check payable to the Shasta County Office of Education.
