The applications area supports three David Grant, Inc. (DGI) software products for two counties:
- Shasta County - SCOE Early Childhood Services
- Tehama County - Child Care Referral and Education (CCRE)
NoHo CARE manages the AP (alternative payments subsidized childcare) programs by recording family information, processing provider payments, generating family fees, and supporting state and administrative reporting. NoHo CARE is also used to track attendance and food program information for SCOE-run Child Care Centers and State Preschools.
NoHo CEL manages the Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) as mandated by CDE (California Department of Education). This product maintains a prioritized list of families needing childcare services. Childcare providers within each county contract with CDE to fill their available childcare slots by using the prioritized list for each county to ensure those with the most need are fairly served and childcare facilities are used to their maximum potential.
NoHo R&R is used by Resource and Referral agencies to (1) maintain a list of those needing childcare in the area and (2) match those needs with childcare referrals to licensed providers and center-based programs. The database contains detailed provider data and has several reporting features in addition to the ability to generate referral lists for a specific family, child, or situation.

Our website is Powered by Finalsite. As a component of our disaster recovery plan, we engaged Finalsite, based in Connecticut, to host our website.
Their intuitive user-interface and easy-to-learn website content tools have enabled us to decentralize web management and delegate maintenance of content areas to those who know the content best, regardless of their technical skill level.
By hosting our site within their own data center they have eliminated our need to install, and maintain software. We no longer are troubled by corrupted software or hard-drive crashes. In addition, if our network operation center suffers from downtime, we are able to provide information, and possible solutions, to our customers and peers simply because our website continues to be up and running.
There are currently two software applications supported by SCOE IT for Food Programs.
Minute Menu is a purchased application from Minute Menu HX. This application allows childcare providers to record on-line the children and meals served. SCOE Food Program specialists are then able to administer CACFP payments to providers to reimburse them for meals served to children. Minute Menu is available for both Shasta and Tehama counties.
The Food Services Database is an Access/SQL server database that was developed in-house to record summary classroom, attendance, and meals served data and calculate NSLP and CACFP reimbursements for SCOE childcare programs.
PDFill is an open source software that combines portions of Adobe and Microsoft Word which enables the user to create PDF's without having advanced Adobe applications.

Questys Solutions is the document imaging software selected by Business Services to provide electronic document management for the entire SCOE organization.
Questys Pro scans paper documents and imports electronic files then stores your information in electronic format. Files are archived and are considered legal "originals," replacing the paper files you currently store in file cabinets or warehouse storage. The system provides document retrieval at the desktop level and secure logons to protect your data.
