Community & Schools Support Services

The Shasta County Office of Education is proud to play an important role in the North State community. The aim of our Community School Support Services department is to offer a variety of support services to students, families, and the community through a "whole child" approach. This approach strives to focus on what students need to succeed, and to help parents & community partners address key issues that may impact their education, health and welfare. A few examples of how we accomplish this are the following...

  • Wraparound Services: Provide assistance to student and families to attain health care, mental health counseling, meals, and other services.
  • Social-Emotional Learning: Utilize healing-centered practices to support mental and behavioral health for students & families.
  • Community Partnerships: Engagement in partnership opportunities with the nonprofit sector, local government agencies, and the local education system.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Foster the involvement of students, families, and community members in decision-making processes that benefit the student community at large.
