Coming Soon: Safe, Seamless Wi-Fi with eduroam
eduroam is a secure, global Wi‑Fi network for students, faculty, and researchers. It lets you connect to the internet at thousands of participating locations worldwide using the same login you use at your home campus. Once set up, your device connects automatically to the “eduroam” network wherever it’s available. eduroam uses strong, enterprise‑level encryption to keep your connection safe, and your login details are securely verified by your home institution.

Upholding Professional Excellence in the Digital Workplace
At the Shasta County Office of Education, technology is an essential tool for delivering high-quality instruction and maintaining efficient administrative operations. Access to our network, devices, and digital resources is provided to staff to facilitate job-related tasks and professional development. By using district resources, staff members agree to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, ensuring that technology use is always ethical, secure, and aligned with our educational mission. This includes a commitment to protecting sensitive student and personnel data (PII) in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries in all digital communications, and safeguarding the district’s technical infrastructure from security threats. We rely on our staff to lead by example, demonstrating responsible and professional digital leadership for our entire school community.
It is important to remember that technology used in education, like textbooks, is only one tool in the learning process.
Neither can be a substitute for well trained teachers, leadership, and parental involvement.
