Learning and Leadership
SCOE's Professional Learning and Leadership Support Services Department provides high-quality professional development and other resources to help our districts develop effective instructional systems that help our students thrive in our schools. Department staff works with teachers, instructional coaches, and education leaders in both schools and districts to develop the knowledge and skills needed for schools and districts to engage in a systematic and sustainable improvement process.
It is our commitment to share with our districts the best and most current educational research-based approaches to meet the needs of our students, school personnel, the Curriculum and Instructional Department continues to seek grant opportunities for teachers in Shasta County and Region 2.
We are also committed to bringing scientific, educational and informative programming to students in northern California. Our science programs that serve students include Whiskeytown Environmental School and Schreder Planetarium.
