Differentiated Assistance (DA)

District Assistance and Support
California has made a series of shifts in public education with a goal to improve learning to ensure student success in school, college, work and life.  Our state is in the midst of changing the way it evaluates and supports schools.  Using more than just a single number or test score, the state’s new accountability system aims to address the gaps for student groups in eight state priority areas and support continuous improvement in each of these areas.

The state system of support connects the California School Dashboard, Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAP), Differentiated Assistance, and  federal Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) together to focus on local control to ensure students benefit.

Differentiated Assistance
A collaborative, flexible and tailored to local needs, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all solution that the Shasta County Office of Education is committed to providing for local educational agencies (LEA) and schools through personalized and unique support.
