Anderson Union High - Cub Connection

Anderson Union High School District is proud to partner with the Shasta County Office of Education in offering the only two comprehensive High School After School Programs in Shasta County at both Anderson and West Valley High School. The programs offer a daily nutritious snack, academic tutoring and credit recovery opportunities. In addition, new classes are offered each month, at no cost to students which can include ENRICHMENT (Cooking, Jewelry making, Scrapbooking, etc.), CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION (Building Trades, Keyboarding, Floral Arranging, etc.) and PHYSICAL FITNESS AND NUTRITION (Plyometrics, Weight lifting, Speed and Agility.) Limited transportation is also available.


Students from Anderson High School went bowling during the summer of 2024 as part of the summer programs offered.

8th Grade Invasion takes place each Spring where incoming 8th graders visit the high school and receive information about the Cub Connection after school program.
