Girls with Autism:  Supports and Interventions

Overview:  

This IN PERSON ONLY training focuses on practical strategies that school based teams such as psychologists, teachers, counselors and speech-language pathologists can use to support Autistic girls across school settings. Participants will learn evidence-based approaches that build on student strengths, reduce barriers, and promote engagement, independence, and well-being.

Examples, case applications, and opportunities for guided practice will be provided.

Participants Will:

  • Learn practical strategies to support students in school settings
  • Apply interdisciplinary approaches to support participation, independence, and success
  • Develop supports that align with students' strengths and individual learning profiles

Target audience: 

Any member of a school-based team with an interest in supporting Autistic Girls, including but not limited to:

  • School Psychologists
  • Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Education Specialists
  • General Education Teachers
  • Administrators
  • Occupational Therapists
