  Our purpose is to provide high quality professional development and other resources to help our districts develop effective instructional systems that help our students thrive scholastically. We also provide Preliminary and Clear Administrative Services credentials, leadership development and technical services to local schools and School Leadership Teams.

  We provide quality early care and education programs, resources and supports for children & families, and their teachers or care providers.

Our County's commitment is embodied by the Shasta Promise: Every student in Shasta County will graduate prepared for education beyond high school. Those students who complete minimum college preparatory or community college transfer requirements will receive guaranteed admission from all of the participating institutions of higher education.

ECS is funded by various sources of state, local, and federal funds to provide resource and referral services to families and the child care community; we provide part day preschool programs; we operate nutrition services (including Child and Adult Food and National School Lunch programs) among many more types of programs that we offer.
