Regional System of District & School Support (RSDSS)
Federal education legislation, Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA, 2015), requires all states to provide a statewide system of sustained support for districts and schools receiving Title I funding. In California, this support structure is organized through the state’s configuration of eleven regions by the Regional System of District and School Support (RSDSS). Each region, under the leadership of a consortium of county superintendents, provides regional coordination and collaboration of services through the RSDSS office for region Title I low-performing schools.
RSDSS has been created to better meet the needs of districts and schools in each county.
Shasta COE's goal is to work along-side the Region 2 County Offices of Education to provide support needed for schools and districts in need of technical assistance.
There are a range of services that districts and schools can receive at no cost. Please call Amy Barker at (530) 605-2701 to discuss these services.
