I believe that education starts at birth, if not in the womb.  Every child can reach their potential when they grow up in a family and community that supports their growth and development.  My husband John and I attended Shasta County schools, as did all three of our children.  I retired from Shasta County Office of Education as the Executive Director of Early Childhood Services in June of 2016, and was elated to have an opportunity to become a Board member.  I am proud and passionate about our SCOE mission to be “leaders in educational excellence,” and know that under Judy Flores’ direction, we will continue to provide local and regional leadership to make sure every child has the education they deserve, and that our educators have the support they need to provide that high quality education.
