Family SHARE Events

Our Family Share nights provide an opportunity for families to gather together. The evenings start off with dinner where families eat together and talk about their day. Afterward, the families utilize their Language Arts skills in the form of writing a family book using Write Brain Books. To end the evening, SHARE staff take the kids for some activities while parents and guardians enjoy a Love and Logic training provided by a Love and Logic coach. Love and Logic is a philosophy of raising and teaching children which allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in interactions with children.

SHARE Program Events

Shasta County Office of Education in conjunction with the Anderson Union High School District has the pleasure of operating the only two comprehensive high school after-school programs in Shasta County.

A primary goal within the after-school program is to provide a safe place for students with adult supervision, providing a seamless transition from regular day to after school. In addition to a large variety of free monthly class offerings, academic tutoring, and a daily meal; the after-school program works to intentionally identify community needs and partner with local agencies to provide outreach and support, while cultivating leadership and awareness among students.

This outreach includes, but is not limited to, canned food drives, animal rescue food drive, Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, Salvation Army bell-ringing, mentoring at local middle-schools, and hosting the annual Light's On event to raise awareness of after-school programs.

Community Events

Project SHARE participates in many community events throughout Shasta County. We have partnered with many organizations and events to support local communities. Our students at different sites have participated in canned food drives, Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, High School Orientations, Community Running Races, and much more.
