North State STEM is now offering classroom robotics kits available for checkout to schools, after school programs and community youth organizations.
Obtained through grant funding, complete Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 and EV3 classroom robotics kits can be reserved and checked out for up to three weeks for a fee to ensure lost or worn out pieces will be replaced. Those in financial need are asked to fill out the “statement of financial need” section of the robotics checkout request and will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Statement of Eligibility:
Robotics checkout kits are intended to serve a group of 10-20 students (recommended for ages 7 and up); therefore kits are not available for checkout by individuals for personal use. Affiliation with an existing organization, school district, or municipal partnership is preferred. However, groups and clubs will not be automatically disqualified; each application will be reviewed on an individual basis.
