Former DEA Agent Inspires Shasta County Youth

Former DEA Agent Rocky Herron came to Shasta County for the fourth year to Shasta County to inspire youth to stay away from drugs and alcohol. All told, he talked with about 1,800 students, and you can see the highlights in this video. Thank you, Rocky, for helping us build a healthier community!

Substance Use and Prevention Education (TUPE) is a comprehensive, evidence-based tobacco-use prevention, youth development, intervention, and cessation program. Here at the Shasta County Office of Education, we are passionate about reducing youth tobacco-use by helping students make healthy decisions through tobacco-specific educational instruction and activities, that build knowledge as well as social skills and youth development assets.
